Visit the Scandola reserve, a pure natural jewel! and the Calanques de Piana
It is at the level of the Gulf of Porto that we find the Scandola reserve, a protected natural space known for its ecosystem endowed with maritime and terrestrial wonders. Listed as a Unesco World Heritage Site, it covers an area of more than 1,650 hectares. It includes a part of the maritime facade of the Regional Natural Park of Corsica classified as a Natura 2000 site.
The territory of the natural reserve is located in the commune of Osani, in the west of Corsica. It presents a particularity to know: it is accessible only by the sea, its only terrestrial part being constituted by a peninsula in the north of the Gulf of Porto. Particularly supervised because of the biological richness of the area, it is however possible to visit the Scandola reserve.
Boat trips from Calvi allow you to visit the Scandola reserve but also the Calanques de Piana another jewel of Corsica.
